i hate Apo x32, i seriously do. 3.5h to render, and kept erroring out not enough memory on 6gb of RAM. :faint: but i am proud of this.

Apo x7 C15.9 + photoshop.
7MB file size, download for higher resolution.

this is a tweak of :iconboxtail:'s Withering Rainbow by BoxTail

Wonderful colors, and very reallistic (although I understand it is not done with a picture). It's on the edge between a drawing and a photograph, just pulling you in because of this movement illusion created by the white spots. Also the focus contributes to the effect. A pearl of nature opening up to the light and rain, pure and strong, not willing to give in easily. Beautiful.

it's not a picture no, it's built with a fractal software named apophysis. the realistic effects are achieved with photoshop. it's mostly a matter of correct lightning. :)
thank you

I know apophysis, and I even worked with it for a  while, but I never have seen such effect. I guess everyone finds its own way to create art with it. Still I think this is a very beautiful piece of art.
